Dr Jana has been a practicing vet on the Border for more than 20 years. In 2006 she purpose built the veterinary hospital, the first on the Border with segregated cat and dog wards. In 2013 Dr Jana sold the business, then in 2018 the building became vacant. After a bit of a quandary about what to do with the purpose-built vet hospital, Dr Jana realised that the local rescue group were in desperate need of veterinary help for their rescued dogs and cats.
Dr Jana’s Pet Hub was born, a hub for all creatures great and small, who deserve better. The hub contains the Veterinary Clinic (open to the public) and a Veterinary Behaviour section offering puppy pre-school and veterinary behaviour consults to the public.
All of the above are channeling proceeds directly back to Albury Wodonga Animal Rescue (AWAR) supporting the great work the rescue people do day in and day out; rescuing, caring and re-homing abandoned pets.
Please help make a difference and support ‘Vets for Pets – Supporting Rescue’ at Dr Jana’s Pet Hub.
Why Choose us
1. Personal Service – continuity of cases
Not only do we want to care for your pet, we take our time to get to know you and your pet on a more personal level. We have found in the past that dogs and cats tend to be more relaxed with a routine approach of the same vet, same consult room each time. It makes it easier for us to give you great service, by knowing your pet well.
2. Minimal waiting times
We pride ourselves on being punctual and run on time to the best of our ability. Sometimes emergencies happen, however we will endeavour to ring you if time permits to re-schedule your appointment.
To deliver an exceptional service, we ensure that all our staff are highly trained and knowledgeable. Be assured that when you come in or phone for information, you will receive correct and the latest recommendations. We regularly attend seminars and conferences and continually update our knowledge in the veterinary field.
We are a small locally owned business and do not have monetary targets or a bonus structure. Your pet will never be recommended a treatment that does not help them. The cost of any treatment will always be discussed in advance.
5. Community Spirit – Vets for Rescue
We are ‘Vets for Pets – Supporting Rescue’. When you visit our veterinary hospital with your pet, proceeds are used to help AWAR’s (Albury Wodonga Animal Rescue) rescued pets’ health checks, professional care during their quarantine periods, performing behaviour temperament assessments, desexings, vaccinations and any other veterinary work that may be required. So when you help your pet, you’re also helping those pets in need as well as ensuring that they find suitable forever homes.
We will run regular fundraising open days at Dr Jana’s Pet Hub, keep your eyes peeled on the AWAR website for dates.
